Privacy in the Promptician pilot

No account is required to play.

Promptician saves a random identifier in your browser and records first-party product and gameplay interactions. These include visits, runs, questions shown, answers selected, answer timing, scores, and replay activity. This helps us operate the game, understand usage, improve Promptician, and evaluate question performance.

The identifier is pseudonymous, not a claim of complete anonymity. It recognizes the same browser on return visits. Different devices are not linked. Clearing browser storage creates a new identifier; private browsing normally uses a separate one. If browser storage is unavailable, the identifier lasts only for the current page visit.

We record coarse device and viewport categories and allowlisted source or pilot codes. We do not intentionally record names, contact details, precise location, browser fingerprints, raw IP addresses, full referrer URLs, or arbitrary query strings in our behavioral analytics tables. Please do not put personal information in source codes.

Gameplay analytics are separate from ordinary hosting operational logs. The internal analytics dashboard is restricted to authorized access. We do not use advertising pixels or cross-site analytics trackers.

This is an early pilot. Data supports product research; it is not yet a validated personal ability rating.

Feedback is voluntary. We save your message, category, page and available gameplay context in a separate feedback record linked to your browser identifier when available. Email is optional and is only used to follow up about that feedback, not for newsletters, marketing or account creation. Feedback text and email are available only in the private admin dashboard; they are not included in generic gameplay analytics events.

Personal bests are saved for this browser. If you create a challenge, its score is accessible to anyone with the link for up to 30 days. The link does not show your browser identifier. We record challenge creation, opening, sharing, and gameplay outcomes to understand referrals.
